<h2>Formula Systems, a leading manufacturer of safety edge curtains and the Safescreenú brand, has appointed The Fixture Company Inc. (TFC) as its new representative for the United States. Illinois-based TFC will provide sales and service support for all Formula Systems' products, including the full Formula Systems FCU range of infra-red safety edges (formerly promoted in the United States as type ICU).</h2>

<h1>FORMULA SYSTEMS ANNOUNCE NEW "CONTROLLER-LESS" INFRA-RED (IR) LIGHT CURTAINS IN USA</h1>
<h2>Formula Systems, a leading manufacturer of safety edge curtains and the Safescreenú brand, has announced a new range of "controller-less" infra-red (IR) elevator door protection devices for direct connection into contemporary door controls. The new range, designated FCU47, has optically synchronised edges which connect directly into any compatible door controller in a similar manner to photocells.</h2>
<p>The new product provides benefits of quicker and simpler installation, reduced system maintenance and lower product cost. For applications such as modernisation where old-style door controllers are in use, a universal interface is available which provides low voltage power to the edges and relay outputs to connect with the elevator door controls.
