The FSM1 Speech module has been specifically designed to provide facilities for floor identification announcements.

The unit can accommodate up to 15 messages via the four signal inputs.

The unit provides a single floor announcement trigger input.

There is a large vocabulary of English phrases that will cover the majority of requirements. However, custom phrases can be accommodated.

The FSM1 announcements provide clear information to lift users and are of particular importance to blind and partially sighted people.

INSTALLATION

The FSM 0001 is supplied with a loudspeaker.

For optimum sound quality we recommend that the loudspeaker be mounted in the roof of the lift car. However, it could also be mounted behind a grill in the car control station or any other suitable location.

The FSM1 incorporates a control to adjust the speech volume.

In most cases the FSM1 can be fitted within the lift car. If required the FSM1 can be fitted within the machine room, in which case two line transformers can be supplied as an optional extra to ensure minimum resistance loss and distortion and allowing the speaker to be located up to 300 metres away.
