The FSM2 Speech module has been specifically designed to provide facilities for floor identification announcements and also other information announcements

The unit consists of 16 signal inputs

The other information announcements can be set to auto repeat if required.

There is a large vocabulary of English phrases that will cover the majority of requirements. However, custom phrases can be accommodated.

The FSM2 announcements provide clear information to lift users and are of particular importance to blind and partially sighted people.

INSTALLATION

The FSM2 is supplied with a loudspeaker.

For optimum sound quality we recommend that the loudspeaker be mounted in the roof of the lift car. However, it could also be mounted behind a grill in the car control station or any other suitable location.

The FSM2 incorporates a control to adjust the speech volume.

In most cases the FSM2 can be fitted within the lift car. If required the FSM2 can be fitted within the machine room, in which case two line transformers can be supplied as an optional extra to ensure minimum resistance loss and distortion and allowing the speaker to be located up to 300 metres away.
